Santa Claus...
Well we talked him up big time - told her she was going to get to go and see him. We even watched him on Dora...sigh. She was excited. Well as excited as one wee one can be and not really get it. So we get her dressed and ready to go...we ask her "are you going to sit on Santa's lap?" she replies with her normal 'uh huh'. Then the entire car ride there which is seriously 4 minutes - she kept saying "see Santa" "see Santa"
Well we get to the mall at 5:15 hoping to beat the after work crowd and we find a line about 10 people deep and a sign that says Santa will be back at 6. Grr... So I wait in line while Jimmy wanders around the mall with Charley and then Charley throws about $20 worth of pennies in the fountain. 6 o'clock rolls around she comes back and gets in line, as we edge closer to the front the 'uh huh' turns to a 'no'. oh geez.

Then we meet the little boy in front of us in line, he is 18 months old...he is going to sit on Santa's lap first I'm glad, she can watch and I just hope he doesn't scream his head off...
Well he does great - SMILES actually. Though as she is watching him sit on Santa's lap - she turns into Little Miss Cuddle - buries her head in Jimmy's shoulder and has a death grip on him and George (yes we told her she could bring George with her to see Santa - I am thinking this is what saved her from screaming her head off - like she did with the Easter Bunny).

So here we go - we weren't getting suckered into the expensive picture packages this year like we were last year. Once we found out we could go up for free and take our own pictures, I was all over it.
Jimmy takes her up and puts her on Santa's lap - she blows him a kiss!!

Then she just sits there waiting for it to be over and wondering why in the world we would make her do such a thing.

But she survived!! And she still talks about Santa every day...so I think we are safe :)

O' Christmas Tree!!
We finally went and picked out our Christmas Tree on Sunday - and here are the photos I promised. Charley was so into running around and checking out everything I didn't have much of an opportunity to get a good shot of her - but these definitely show she had fun!! Enjoy!!

Almost 4 months...
Yep I'm almost 4 months pregnant...can't believe it. Time is flying and I haven't really had a second to stop and think about it. Lots of Christmas presents to make, wrap, order and we still haven't gotten our Christmas tree. This makes me sad - but really we haven't had time. It just makes me sad that every night Charley says 'trismas tee'. She knows what it is, and wants one. And we are going to get it - Saturday - and there will be plenty of pictures to share.
Tomorrow night we are taking her for her Christmas pictures. We were going to go on Monday, but Jimmy's grandmother passed away yesterday and we are heading to Boston on Monday for the funeral. So we had to do some rearranging.
Things here have been crazy. My friends and I undertook - by our own devices - the idea to surprise our 2 other pregnant friends with surprise showers on back to back days. And I am happy to report, both were surprised and all went off without a hitch. But being 4 months pregnant and running around like a lunatic like I did last weekend, left me exhausted for the week. I am still tired and Jimmy let me sleep until 11 today and then I took a nap from 6-9. Craziness...hence I am up and it is 1:21 am and I am going to work in a measly 5 hours. eh.
So maybe I should go. Though I have been trying to blog FOREVER and now was my only uninterrupted chance. So here I am. Hope everyone is keeping warm up in the midwest...and enjoy the snow up there. oh and please...please, keep it up there :) thanks much!
oh and if there is any one out there in blogland who is familiar with purchasing raw land to build on, can you please email me? We need to figure out what tests we need to do and how much they are all going to cost before we put an offer in on some land we are interested in...and we have NO CLUE where to start, so any help would be appreciated!
