I got an email...

Well I received an email comment yesterday from Tiff...asking where I have been and what I have been up to...are you ready!! :)

I've driven to Wisconsin with the fabulous Jeannie where I competed in my first triathlon for the summer...


...and kicked butt at it I might add!!
We've been riding bikes...

We've been hanging out on the dog bed...(Why?? I have no clue...I tried to get the dog onto her chair for the picture, thought it would be classic...but she'd have nothing to do with getting up, let alone getting into a way too small of a chair!)

We've been rock climbing...



We've been at the park with Grandma...

Where we went swinging...



We've been having a BLAST this summer and I never want it to end. There are more fun and exciting things coming up, a trail race, another Tri (which I convinced Jimmy to do with me!!), a Phillies Game, a trip to COSTA RICA!!, another trip back to the beach, a trip to the zoo and possibly a trip to Philly! I love summer!!

I won! Some help and a favor...

Hello all...I know I have been MIA and I plan on fixing that and filling you in on all of the happenings around here, but first a little business to take care of.

I won a contest!! This is actually my 2nd win in a month or so...but I will post about the other one later. I won a blog redesign!! Loni at From Two to Three had a blogiversary give away and I won!! I can't wait to have my blog redone! I just need to come up with a more appropriate name for my blog, so please leave me some comment love with some ideas. I'd love for it to have to do with all aspects of my life, being a mommy, a wife, working out, being healthy and loving life!

Now on to the favor...the wonderful Jessica at This, That & My Blog who I won the redesign from lost her father last week. I can't imagine what she is going through right now. I have lost grandparents, aunts and uncles, but never someone as close as my parents. She needs strength and support and love at these times, so please stop by her blog and give just a few encouraging words and love.

Happy 4th of July…just a week or so late!!

We had a great 4th of July – on top of having a 3 day weekend as a family which was wonderful to start with! We went to a local beach with Roni and her family – then home for a nice long nap and then off to see the fireworks with them too! And Charley LOVED the fireworks!! Here are 2 quick picks of her taken Jimmy’s phone as we all forgot our cameras.

The fireworks were great and Charley was a trooper staying up past her bedtime too. I love taking her new places and seeing the joy and amazement on her face! She loved walking around the little fair before the fireworks and checking everything out!

And here are a few more shots of Miss Charley and her first set of pig tails!! Her hair is finally starting to get a little longer so I thought I’d try some pigtails and she sat nice and still for me (I was shocked!) and let me put them in and didn’t fuss about them!! I love them!! (and I’d have to say I love these pictures too…they came out great!)





Our 4th of July weekend ended with us buying new couches for our living room. I love them. They are deep – so Jimmy and I can lay on them together – Perfect! So we finally got rid of the old ones about an hour before we had to pick up the new ones. We got the new ones in the house and after Jimmy was a trooper and put all of the feet on them, we got them in and in place right before bed last night. I can’t wait to get home with Jimmy and Charley and enjoy them…

Red White and Blue Swap!!

My package arrived a little over a week ago – and it was amazing, however now is the first chance I have had to write up a post…on my 14 hour drive to Wisconsin with Jeannie. So you might get few catch up posts from me today and a few more on Monday on the drive back…so here we go!!

I loved my package!! It was filled with so many goodies!! Here is a photo story of what I got…

When I came home from work I found this cute box on our doorstep! I loved the cute packing tape…I definitely need to get some of that!!

Here are all of the goodies that were inside!!

First and foremost my MOST FAVORITE ITEM….This ADORABLE dress for Miss Charley!! How cute is this!! She wore it to the fireworks on the 4th of July

An awesome plastic party ware set!! Love the red!! With some Blue corn chips for dipping into…A jar of my favorite….Mango Salsa!!

There were two cute stars to make our house a little more festive.

A trio of some adorable tablets…Dianah just like me makes lots of lists so these are perfect!!

She sent me a Child ID kit…PERFECT…as we don’t have one of these yet! And it is good for up to 3 kids…now just to get Miss Charley’s fingerprints!!

Dianah made me this awesome red, white and blue insulated lunch bag!! I have used it a lot already!!

And last but not least a cute little tin…filled with flag wrapped tootsie rolls (MY FAV!!) and a tiny tin of Altoids

Thanks Dianah so much for all of the amazing stuff! I loved it all!! Oh…and what pattern did you use for the dress?? I would love to take my hand at making another one for Charley!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THE LOVE YOU PUT INTO MY PACKAGE!! I hope you enjoyed what I sent you!
