Ok - one quick thing to say - it wasn't Charley's birthday yesterday...I know by the way I posted that picture it sounded like it...but I didn't mean to word it that way!! She isn't ONE until 2 Saturdays from now - the 28th. Sorry about the confusion!!
Alright...I have tons of stuff to get done around the house as I have a weekend full of entertaining this weekend and next. This Saturday I am having a shower for a friend from my old job at my house so that should be fun...but I need to clean, prepare and get food ready this week.
Then on Sunday my old college roommate is bringing her daughter over for a play date and another of my college roommates is coming as is a friend of ours from school. So it will be a mini roommate reunion with babies :) Her daughter is 2 months older then Charley. So it should be fun.
Then next Saturday will be Charley's party (with way too many people!!). So I have a lot of work ahead of me!! Plus my really good friend is turning 30 this Saturday so there is a party at her house on Friday night. (you'll be hearing a lot about 30th birthday parties on my blog coming up...as everyone I went to college with - including me - will be turning 30 this year! eek!)
So I was supposed to have a physical therapy appointment today at the gym at 1 - I made it there during the day because I can take Charley to the daycare. Well I get there at 15 till and warm up and then go and wait for the lady - who never shows!! Well until 1:35 and I have to get Charley out of the daycare by 1:45! (since she is under 1 yr. she only gets an hour...but not for long!) She said they called and left a message on my cell - well that was in the car - and they did - but 5 minutes before 1!! C'mon!! So I did an unexpected 45 minutes of cardio this afternoon - I took it easier though since I knew I still had to run.
After the gym I took Charley to the playground to swing for a few minutes. SHE LOVES SWINGS!!! As do I...I could just go to the park and swing anytime. I used to walk Mack through a park at my old house in VA and I'd swing while he wandered around the park - it was a great relaxing part of my day :) Anyways...here is a picture of her on the swing. I couldn't get her to look at me - since there was a grandmother there with her granddaughter. She was very nice and her granddaughter was almost exactly 1 month younger then Charley...plus my phone's camera has a TERRIBLE delay - so I get Charley to look at me then right as it snaps - she turns her head!

So after Jimmy got home from work we headed out for our 4.5 mile run - and we did get to run outside. I am loving the running outside!! But now I hear that it is supposed to snow tomorrow...I really hope not!! I pushed Charley the first half of the run and then Jimmy took her the second half. See Jimmy is a lot faster then me - and we planned on running the same route - so he takes off and by the time he is on his way back from the turning point - I am on my way there still he grabs her and takes her back with him - so that way she isn't out in the cold for so long. It works nice...though I think I push her up all the hills and he pushes her - well she pulls him down all of them! But that is fine with me as it is an added workout!
Here is my Nike+

Here is my menu...I am eating a little too much chocolate and desserts!! I need to cut back!! Oh I made this Weight Watchers Key Lime Pie recipe today - I haven't had it yet though it is on my menu...but I will let you know how it turned out!!

She is SUCH a cutie! Good job on getting the extra cardio in... even if it was because of an irritating meeting no-show. You made the best of your time!
That is great that you and Jimmy run together so he can push Charley part of the time. It is so much harder to run and push a baby at the same time.
I hear you about running outside - there is no way I could ever run 4 miles on a treadmill. I would go crazy! I can barely force myself to do 2 miles on a treadmill.
Charley is such a little cherub :) Hmm - yeah, I think you're getting the short end of the stick by pushing her up all those hills, but you'll be all the more fierce because of it!
I am so annoyed for you about your appointment! Don't they think you're pretty much AT your appointment 5 mins before it's scheduled? But great way of turning it into an NSV! I'm so proud of you!
