Not just 10...but 12!!!

I am down 12...I was just hoping to be down a total of 10...but it is 12!! Ok, now I will have to wait and see what this coming week brings, if I am still down that is...because I became deathly ill (well I felt that way anyway!) on Friday, and was miserable all weekend, though we still went to the wedding. But I am still not back 100% - which is scaring me...be it that I have a triathlon in a little over a month that I need to train for!!

So I am still slowly recuperating and lazing around the house, taking care of Charley and taking gobs of medicine. Not fun. But at least I have this to keep me happy....

Our Little Swimmer...

Charley had her first swim class last night! We have her in a Mommy (Daddy too) & Me class at a local swim school. She loved it! There was no crying at all! She just chilled the entire time and took it all in. It was a great time for us too. As Jimmy got in the pool with her (I offered up for him to get in the first week as I wanted to take a lot of pictures and though he would have taken pictures I didn't really want to see myself on camera in a bathing suit just yet!).

I think Jimmy had just as much fun if not more then Charley did! We left the class and he said
"that was my most favorite thing yet!" He just can't wait until she is up and running around so he can play with her constantly. Here are a few of my favorite swim photos :)

Oh yea!! She found her toes too!! I was getting ready to change her looking in the drawer for PJ's and I looked up and here is what I saw!

I am down 1 lb this week too! Slow and steady...and that is just fine with me! Hopefully this week I will hit my 10lbs down mark and keep going on from there. Now that all of Jimmy's birthday hoopla is over, I should be good to go --my parents took him out to dinner last night to our favorite Italian restaurant-- and thank goodness that is the last of the big meals out. This weekend we do have a wedding though, but I am not big on wedding food usually, plus I do dance all night long, so I'll burn off my cake calories easy!

I think that is all I have for tonight...Charley didn't nap today, so she is already in bed...and now I don't know what to do with myself!!

Off to find something to occupy my time...

Adios!

Catch Up...

Let me start back at the beginning of the week. I lost .8 pounds this week, bringing the total to 8.8 lbs. Hopefully this Monday I will hit the 10 lb mark. A big shout out and CONGRATS to Jeannie who hit her 10% and over 20 lbs gone this weekend!! Head over to her site and give her a congrats!

Work this week was great, I was super busy, so that was nice.

Jimmy's birthday was on Tuesday and for some reason I felt it my right (even though it wasn't MY birthday) to eat whatever I wanted in massive quantities and boy did I pay for it later in the night. But it all started with these...I made them for Jimmy for breakfast, only 1/2 the recipe and it made 2 pans of them, one went to work and one stayed home. I had my fair share of both pans though...I felt so sick from all the sugar. Then we went to Panera for lunch for his birthday since we both work on Tuesdays...and then we went out to Flemings Steakhouse for dinner. See I don't like steak, so I don't cook it at home and Jimmy likes it, so every year for his birthday since I have known him, I take him to a really good steakhouse. I had an amazing apple cider pork chop...TO DIE FOR...if I could only figure out how they made the sauce...

We had a birthday party for Jimmy and our friend Jen whose birthdays were both this week. The party was a fajitas and margaritas party on Friday night. We had a great time and I was way to busy cooking and doing things to eat a lot. Though I did make some good cookies...perhaps the easiest cookies I have ever made and they were yummy! Here it is...1 box of cake mix (any flavor...we used funfetti), one 8oz container of cool whip (we used lite) and 1 egg. That is it, mix it, bake it and devour it...though we iced them and wrote letters on each to spell out HAPPY BIRTHDAY...but you could do without the icing if you wanted...they are great right out of the oven!

Today I finally made it to the pool to swim my laps and get some training in for the triathlon which is in less then 2 months!! I did my 1/2 mile (33 lengths) in 20 minutes flat. I was shocked, I thought it would at least take me 30+ min. I am going back tomorrow to do it again. I am waiting for Jimmy to get my new tires on my bike so I can go for some bike rides. Then it is time to start running...

Tonight I babysat for my friends 2 kids, and I had Charley with me, since tonight is Jimmy's last Saturday night at the bar. WOAH, what was I thinking?!? 2 infants and a 3 year old. Bless anyone, who has ever had twins or more multiples or even 2 kids under age 1. I did survive, by 8:45pm both girls were in bed and the 3 year old was watching Bee Movie. Needless to say I need to get my butt into bed and recuperate.

Hopefully I will be back with another post in the next 2 days sometime...

Adios!

Big Girl!

So where do I begin...Tuesday night when Jimmy came home from the bar, he comes into the bedroom at 4am and wakes me up and asks me if I put Charley to bed on her stomach...I was in a haze, but said "no, why would I do that?" and he was like..."come and see this!!" So I crawled out of my warm bed and went into Charley's room to find this...

Yep, she rolled over!! She is growing up so fast!! She has been on her stomach every morning since too. But can we actually get her to roll over while we are watching....NOPE! Not a chance. I am sure it will change, but I think it is hysterical, like it is her little secret that she can roll over, but doesn't want to show us how she does it!

She is so amazing...here is a picture from this morning when she was laughing up a storm. We love her so much!

We finally got a new crib, it is actually sitting in pieces in our living room right now, since it wouldn't fit in my car in the box. I was going to put it together so she could sleep in it tonight, but that didn't work, I don't know when I thought constructing a crib and watching an infant at the same time was a good idea. So it is now in Jimmy's hands tomorrow. We are going to end up taking the one back to Babies-R-Us and just getting a credit and spending that on things we need over time, since Babies-R-Us didn't have any white cribs we liked. We ended up getting this one from Sears and they actually had it in stock, so we won't be out a crib at all, which is great. Since our putting Charley to sleep while she is still a little awake is working great...knock on wood.

I am heading to Long Island tomorrow for a wedding shower/bachelorette party. It is for a friend of mine from college. I am flying up since we had a credit to use with Southwest before it expired, so I will be getting there in an hour vs. the 5+ hour drive. It will be my first night away from Charley and I am not sure how I am going to feel about it. I will be having a great time with my friends, but I am sure I will miss her tons. I will be back at 9am on Sunday morning since we have a baptism to go to at 12:15...then Jimmy's brother's graduation party. Thank goodness I have Monday off, I will need it to recover.

Well I've got to go, got laundry to do, cleaning to do...eh lots of things to do that I can't get done when Charley is awake, since I am so mesmerized with talking and laughing with her!

Adios :)

Down, Down, Down!

2.4…yes down 2.4!! That makes a total of 8 for the last 4 weeks. Not too shabby, I am totally happy with that, I just hope it keeps going and going and going down! I actually need to break into my closet and try on some of my pre pregnancy clothes tonight. After I had Charley and could no longer wear the maternity clothes because they were too big, I went out and bought an el cheapo pair of khakis and jeans from Old Navy in a bigger size. I have only worn the jeans and they are so big now I have saggy butt and they would fall off if not held up by a belt. I haven’t yet worn the khakis and I think I might have to return them before I even wear them! That is such a great feeling. So tonight will be the test…will my old jeans fit?? I am sure they won’t fit too comfortably yet, since I am still about 11 lbs above my pre pregnancy weight, but hopefully they will button!

We found a beach house!! We are going to go to Bear Trap Dunes in Bethany Beach. It is a little farther from the beach then we would have liked (3 miles) but they have a shuttle to the beach, a fitness center, 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool and a bunch of walking trails, the place is pet friendly (it doesn’t matter how many dogs…you pay one flat pet fee). So it is perfect! We are going for a week and invited our families separately for 2 days each then the rest of the time will just be the 3 of us and the 3 dogs. It should be great! We aren’t going until after Labor Day weekend since the price drops a few hundred dollars, so it makes it a little bit more affordable. I can’t wait!

Hmm, what else is going on…Charley’s blocked tear duct is pretty bad, we took her to the Dr about it about 2 weeks ago and they said she had an eye infection, well we got drops and used them and it cleared up really good. They said only use the drops for 5 days, so we stopped; now it is back full force. Poor girl, wakes up with her eye gooped shut every morning. So I called back today and they said to keep using the drops. I just hope it clears up soon. They say it could take a year! She is almost ready to roll over…she is so close! She just can’t get past her one arm being in the way…but any day now!

Oh, and Mack broke her crib! So we picked out this nice crib and we were planning on using and keeping it for multiple kids…well it hasn’t lasted 3 months! My Mom was in the chair rocking Charley last Tuesday and Mack likes to sit and look out the window behind the chair. Well my Mom got up and so did Mack and he got pinned between the chair and the crib and his butt snapped one of the rungs on the crib! So today we find out it might have been a blessing in disguise that he broke it. Because we call Babies-R-Us where we got it from and they tell us they just recently removed all Jardine (the brand we got) cribs from their floor and stopped selling them due to the fact they kept getting reports of them breaking and they can’t order replacement parts for them!! So they suggested that we return the crib and get store credit to buy another one and they would give us 15% off whatever else we got. She did tell us they don’t have many white cribs…she said we could return the dresser too and get a whole new set. Eh, such a pain in the butt! The way the room is painted, I personally think it will only look good with white furniture. So we found one crib online that we like, now just to find out if they can order it for us and if we can use the store credit online. But the part that majorly sucks is that Charley has been sleeping in her crib, and we have been working on putting her down a little awake so she can fall asleep on her own…and all and now we might have to return the crib and wait for another one to come in…where will she sleep while all of this is going on?! I don’t want to get her out of her routine that we have worked so hard to get her set into. I should find out tomorrow when I go to Babies-R-Us what the deal is and hopefully we can swing it so that we can order the crib and once it comes in we can then take the old one back and pay for the new one then.

Tomorrow I am heading to Delaware to go to an information session with my cousin Markie at Del Tech Community College. She wants to be a nurse and is interested in their program so I told her I’d come home and go with her. Here she is after her graduation on Sunday. This is her and my Aunt Cathy.

If you have a spare moment please head over to Points and Pounds and visit my friend Jeannie, she is going through some rough times and needs a little blog lovin!
Well Charley has been napping now for 2 hours and I am afraid if I don't get her up she won't go to bed tonight...so I am off to wake my sleeping baby...
