Exhaustion...

Today is Jimmy's first day back at work since Charley was born...so it is just me, her and the doggies. I have so many things I need to do around the house, but have been trying all morning to get Charley to take a nap so that I can take a nap and be rested enough to get everything done I need to do. No luck yet on the nap. I feel so much more exhausted today, I guess it has to do with being the only one getting up with Charley at night last night. Since Jimmy has to get up to go to work in the mornings I have night duty all night, when over the last 2 weeks he has been a major help at night. I guess it will take a little getting used to.

I need to get Charley on a schedule. That is the plan for this week. Hopefully I can get feeding times set and nap times worked in, so I know when we can go out and run errands and when we can nap and get things done around the house.

Other then being tired things are going great. Charley is amazing. We love her so much. She is such a great baby. When she isn't sleeping she is just simply awake, no real crying at all, which is nice. She makes the cutest faces, I could just sit and stare at her all day...but then I'd really get nothing done! :) I am already not looking forward to going back to work. But I am trying to not think about it since it is still over 10 weeks away. It just makes me sad to think about it. Even though Jimmy will be home with her, I will miss her terribly. It is weird how no one could have described to me how I'd feel about her and how much I'd love her before she was born. Now that she is here, it is amazing how much Jimmy and I love her and want to be with her all of the time. I feel bad that Jimmy had to go back to work already. But at least when he comes home he can spend time with Charley and give me a little bit of a break to get some things done.

Well it looks as if she is asleep now...maybe the sound of the typing has helped :) So I am off to try and catch a few minutes of sleep and then get to running some errands.

I will hopefully have a little time tonight or tomorrow to check in with all of your blogs and leave a few comments.

As per Charley's blog...it hasn't gotten up and running yet, and might not until I get back to work as I don't even have time to update this blog yet. So that is on hold until things get back under order at home and I get this whole caring for Charley and managing my time thing down. :)

Life...

Life has been busy busy busy since Charley has arrived. A good busy. We love her so much. Though the lack of sleep is getting to us. Once we are on a routine and getting a little more sleep I will try to get back to blogging more. Until then, motherhood calls and I am loving every moment of it.

Thanks so much for your wonderful comments :)

It's A GIRL!!! :)

We are so incredibly proud to announce that we had our baby girl!!!

Charley Grace was born on Thursday February 28, 2008 at 5:24pm. She weighed 8lbs 15.4oz and was 21 1/4" long.

Here are some pictures of our amazing little girl.

We are so incredibly amazed with her. She is the most adorable little baby ever...I might be a little partial to this opinion though :)

We came home from the hospital on Saturday and have been going non-stop ever since and loving every moment of it.

I just wanted to share our exciting news with you all. I will hopefully have a little bit of time over the next few days to start Charley's very own blog with updates about her. I think we are going to make it a private blog, so if you would like access, please email me your email address at cviel21@aol.com so I can add you to the list of readers.

Thank you all so much for your well wishes last week :) You all are wonderful and I am so glad I got to share this experience with you all.

Adios :)
