I am now living in an entirely different world then I was one week ago. We now have a TOTALLY mobile and CRAWLING baby. Yes - she went from maybe crawling a foot then sitting up - to all of a sudden crawling like a mad woman all the way across the room!
Though it is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen and if I can figure out how to get a video of it and put in on here you all can see it. She is so excited that she can crawl and go somewhere that the entire time she is crawling she is giggling with delight! It is so freaking cute!
Now here is where the whole new world thing comes in - before I could sit her in the living room with some toys and pack my lunch, do my hair and make up for work and pack her stuff for the day. Well not any more. I put her on the floor in the living room this morning and went to fix my hair about 20 feet from her in the powder room and I was in there for like 10 seconds and heard the giggle and looked out and there she is crawling with purpose toward the dog bowl. So I go and grab her and move her to the opposite side of the room. I go back to try and do my hair...and then 15 seconds later, I hear the giggle again...there she goes this time toward Tucker's crate...I go and get her...move her back. I do this the ENTIRE time I am trying to get ready. It took me about 3 times as long to get ready...and I was late for work.
Next time there will have to be a new plan - which I am sad to say means waking up A LOT earlier - before she gets up and getting ready so when she is up all I have to do is feed her and get her out the door. Eh. Jimmy started a new job on Monday and he can't be late to it, so he isn't much help in the morning...he is amazing all other times...just not a morning guy.
Thanksgiving was great - well except that Jimmy woke up that morning not feeling well and didn't think he could do the 10k - so we tried to find a 5k - found one, but made it there too late. So we just headed to my parents house and went for a 3 mile run on the trail with Charley. Here is our running buddy in her stroller with her new wind shield that kept her nice and warm during the cold run. Looks like she enjoyed it huh? :)

My food journaling this week has been non-existent - not bad, but non existent. I have too much going on and am SO freaking busy I can't even find time to breathe it seems.
It started on Monday morning...driving to work all is fine and dandy - I go to get off the exit to my office and I lose all power - all steering - braking - Everything on my car. It was quite scary. Luckily the way I was headed when I got off the exit was in the direction of the shoulder so I made it there and shut off the car. The bad part was it was a very sharp and very blind curve of an exit. So I sat there with my seat belt on just waiting to get slammed into...that was a fun time. I called Jimmy who was meeting his boss at Starbucks to take him to the new office (his boss is a good friend of mine) and they were on their way to the office about 5 min from where I was. So they came over - and while they were on their way I called #77 to tell the police my car broke down and where it was and they took all of my information and asked if they should call a tow truck. I said "no thanks, I'll call one when I get to work" and he told me that I shouldn't leave my car there, because they are stealing SUV's off of the side of the road like hotcakes and ripping out the catalytic converters. So I tell him to call the tow truck (even though I knew my parents have a plan with free towing) because I figure - it is only 3 miles to work so how bad can it be. OH just a flat rate of $150!!!! That was fun, spending $150 before 8am on a Monday morning 4 weeks before Christmas.
But it only gets better...I use my parents free towing to have it towed to the shop by my house where we always get car work done and they guy is really hot - um I mean NICE yes NICE ;) Well it arrives at 11am on Monday - and by when they close at 6pm they still don't know what is wrong with it...they need to keep it till Tuesday - no biggie - I am off on Tuesday and watching my friends daughter and can't go anywhere with her and Charley so it is ok. Well it takes them until 2:30pm on Tuesday to find out that it is - the idle motor - which they assume is like a $200 part and would be like $350 with labor - well he calls to check on getting the part and they said it was $500!! WHAT!?!? Well it turns out it was a whole unit and not just the motor. So it would be $650 with the labor. So between the 2 days - $800 down the drain.
Now I shouldn't complain because the car is paid off, it has about 150K miles on it and this is the (knock on wood) FIRST problem I have EVER had with it. And they could have charged us the 8+ hours of labor to figure out what was wrong with it and they didn't - and he said they did an induction service thinking that would fix it and when it didn't they didn't charge us for that either - which was $135. So we made out in the end...even though we made out with spending a lot of money we didn't need to spend right before Christmas.
Anyways...tomorrow the plan is to head to the gym after Charley's morning nap so hopefully she will be ok at the daycare all rested and fed and I can get in a good 3+ mile run.
She still has an earache - she won't leave her ears alone and her last day of meds is tomorrow - then her 9 month appointment is on Friday - so hopefully they will check that out and get it taken care of then. I can't wait to find out how tall she is and how much she weighs. She is getting so big!
We went and got our Christmas tree on Sunday - I have a lot of cute pictures to share - but that will be in another post as this one is way too long as it is!!
oh yeah -one quick thing - I decided to go with the sure thing job (3 days a week) but haven't heard anything back from the guy about it yet - I don't know the salary or anything yet. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that the salary and everything works out and I will be starting the new year with a new job!
Hope all of you are doing well...
Keep rocking BLBE'ers!! We are almost to the end!!

Oh wow, what a totally bummer about the car and bad timing!
Oh my!! A crawler!! You have to get video!! I totally want to see, and I can't wait to see your other pictures too.
Thanks for your comment about feeling the baby. :)
Hi Carrie!
I got my running tights at Target. They were cheap...$25.00 I think. I have enjoyed them. They are tight spandexy is that a word? I wouldn't normally wear such things, but they have worked great with the running!
Yes, I do 4:1. I started doing it last year during my first half marathon. I run 4 minutes and then recover for 1. I love it, and won't ever go back. Well, when I'm doing long distance that is!
THis is the Jeff Galloway method. Check him out, he is a great author/running etc.
Good luck to you on your next half!
So much to say! I might have to just put it in an email hahaha. BUT that stinks about your car. Car troubles are the WORST! But on the other hand, so fun about little Charley crawling! Please get a video up. I bet she is just precious giggling up a storm moving all around.
Ugh - so sorry about the car trouble. Hope everything is OK now. Can't wait to see Charley crawling!
