A lot – first off we took Charley to her first visit with Santa last night. It went over well…well I guess…there were no tears, no fear, no screaming, no emotion pretty much. Here is a picture – see if you can get what I am saying. She was great, but there were no smiles either – it was weird – kind of like Halloween – where she was just like “ok Mom and Dad, lets get this over with, take your pictures and lets go home”
So I can’t say she had fun…but we did have a successful picture on Santa’s lap – which my Mom seems to think “if she is anything like you were Carrie – it will be the last picture with Santa – until she realizes he is the one bringing her gifts” :) So we’ll see.
In other news…Last week when I went for my pre-op physical – which I feel ashamed to say was my first physical in A LOT of years – not that she really did anything but still. I had to have blood drawn for my surgery tests so I asked them to run a test on my thyroid to see if it was normal or low - since I felt like I have been experiencing possible symptoms I thought I'd ask just to see. Well it comes back that I have a low thyroid and she is going to prescribe me some medicine. I haven't gotten the medicine yet though since my Dr was supposed to call it in and hasn't yet. We'll see how it goes, maybe it will help to get my last few pounds off, though I don't want to use it as an excuse but it might have something to do with it.
I am going to continue to work out like I have been and eat within my points regardless...so we'll see.
On another note - Jimmy and I are signing up for our first 1/2 marathon. We are going to run the Shamrock Half in Virginia Beach the weekend before my 30th birthday. So half marathon training starts January 4th.
Alright - I need to finish watching Survivor and then get to bed. I am planning an early morning workout tomorrow so that I can get my gym time in since we have a double date with Roni and her husband tomorrow night. I can't wait...we have a babysitter and everything :)
Have a great Friday tomorrow!!
