I had an amazing Memorial Day weekend. It started off on Saturday…Jimmy wasn’t feeling well…so Charley and I left him at home and did some shopping. I got some cute shirts on sale and some much needed khaki shorts. We got a new baby carrier for Charley and I hit up Babies R Us Clearance rack which was an additional 30% off and got Charley some really cute little Adidas outfits for next summer. Then we came home and hung out with Jimmy, took the dogs for a nice long walk and then Jimmy went to work at the bar. And Charley and I settled in for the evening.
Sunday was even better, we got up, had breakfast and then we took the dogs down to Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis for a swim. They had a blast! The park was packed as expected, but they didn’t care, they had tons of people to play with. Charley and I hung out on the beach and watched all of the doggies play, while Jimmy was knee deep in the water throwing balls and sticks. Oh yea! Before we went to the park I got to meet one of my blogging buddies! Jeannie from Points and Pounds was in Annapolis on vacation at her girlfriends family’s and she came to meet us before we went into the park. She and her girlfriend were kind enough to let me borrow their bike trainer so I can get some of my bike workouts in while Charley is in bed or napping. They were so nice as to drive it up here all the way from Charlotte!! I can’t thank them enough. Jeannie and I are going to try and meet up for lunch tomorrow too. Hopefully if the weather is nice.

Then yesterday we took Charley to the pool for her first time. Our friends belong to a really neat pool by our house and it was “free guest day” yesterday so we went. We are definitely going to sign up for the pool next year when Charley is old enough to walk around and play in the baby pool. She loved it!! We stuck her feet in the water (which was a tad bit cold) and she didn’t cry or even complain! She liked it J We only stayed for about 2 hours, because we were worried about her getting burnt – we had her lathered up in sunscreen – but we were still worried, because it was hot out!
So once we got home, she took a good long nap, then we went for a walk with the dogs and then I was so tired, so we took another nap! Then we went to the grocery store, while Jimmy showered and took care of some things at the house. Then last night Charley slept ALL NIGHT LONG!! She went to sleep around 9ish (a little late, but with the 2 long naps she was a little thrown off) and didn’t wake up to eat until 5:45 this morning!! The bad part about it is, that I think I got my worst night of sleep last night…waking up every few hours wondering why she hadn’t woken up!! I hope this is a pattern…I am doubting it…but it would be nice!! I can’t complain though, she is a great sleeper usually, she will go to bed around 7:30-8 wake up around midnight, eat and go back to sleep until 6am or so. I am sure last night just had to do with all of the excitement of the weekend and being out in the sun for 2 hours!
Here are some pictures of her from the pool...

Today my parents are here watching Charley and it is my first week on my new work schedule…only working Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. If the rain holds off we will be going to my brothers baseball game after work – well I will be meeting my parents and Charley at the game. Then tomorrow night I have my first softball game of the season. I can’t wait to get back out there and play!!
Alright…I better get back to work!!
Adios

The first night the baby sleeps through is the hardest becuase like you said you keep waking up anyway. They start testing the waters by sleeping through the night a couple of nights a week eventually they do it all the time.
