Charley is now 8 weeks old. I can't believe how time is flying. 4 more weeks and then I have to go back to work. But hopefully there will be some good news coming later this week...at least I really hope so. I am not going to say anything more now...don't want to jinx it. But it will make me so happy if everything works out!
Now...back to reality. I have had to get dressed in 'real' clothes quite a few times over the last couple of weeks...and the bad part about that is the only 'real' clothes that fit me are my workout clothes...umm...can you say elastic waist!! So since I have had Charley, I have lost 36lbs...now one may think that is amazing...and it is...but the bad part is I still have at least that much to lose or more.
So in order to keep myself on track I am joining Carolyn's Summer Challenge. So over the next 8 weeks I am going to work out 5 times a week, do sit ups before bed 5 times a week and lose 18lbs. I know 18lbs is a lot, but being that I haven't really been working out consistently or watching what I have been eating for that matter, since Charley has arrived, I am hoping that the weight will just kind of melt away once I start actually trying to lose it. But we'll see. I might be way off with that...but I will have to try it to find out. I will weigh myself on Monday morning and every Monday morning for the next 8 weeks...I need to fit into my closet full of old clothes!!
Tomorrow we have our friend's daughter's Christening (she is 13 days older then Charley) so hopefully I will have some new cute pictures to post...until then, here is my new favorite one. Charley at her first baseball game (my cousin's sons game) she didn't enjoy it very much, it got a little chilly out...here she is bundled up...my cousin is holding her.
My cutie pie...

What a little cutie - they get big tooo quickly. I saw a 2 week old baby the other day and was shocked at how little he ways and Lily was that size just 3 months ago. The time goes way too fast.
I so hear you about only fitting into workout clothes, every morning I get dressed about what to wear to work I stress out. I have 2 pairs of pants to chose from and only about 3 or 4 tops so some things get worn twice in one week.
After Lily I dropped about 13 pounds easy but now the last 25 will be hard. Once I started writing down what I was eating and trying to keep my calories around 2500 (don't want to restrict your calories too much since I am a nursing mama) and I started riding my bike to work helped me lose 2 pounds within the last week.
Once you start working out more it will help you drop more weight.
Oh my goodness she is so precious!!! And I'm not sure if you're breastfeeding or not, but apparently the weight comes off nicely while thats going on... SO if you are ENJOY IT! Teehee.
I joined the challenge too... I have to blog about it now :)
I love the pic.... it's soooo cute! 36lbs down already seems pretty amazing too me, especially without even trying! They say the last 10 is always the hardest but just remember it took 9 months to gain so you shouldn't be too hard on yourself! Take care!! :)
