Friday...

Happy Friday everyone! Today was a pretty great day...it flew by which is always nice and on top of that I found a dress for the rehearsal dinner in Chicago next week. Yep, I am in a wedding in Chicago next week (for my friend whom I threw a surprise shower for back in March). Here is the bridesmaids dress that we are wearing, I actually like it a lot and could possibly wear it again.

I ran out at lunch to the mall to get a new strapless bra, which I do believe is one of the worst inventions ever created. But I found one...a $62 one. Eh, I could find A LOT better ways to spend $62. But it was needed and it is done. And then I went and tried to find a dress for the rehearsal dinner. I am sure I could have found something to wear that I already have, but I just wanted to get something new and cute. I found the dress I really liked at Ann Taylor Loft, but of course they didn't have my size. So I swung by the store near my house and they had it! So I was going to get it and some very very cute skirts and tank tops that were on a great sale. 2 of the skirts were $4.98! But then I remembered that I had a coupon for 15%-20% off...and they said it was still valid, so they held the stuff for me until the morning and I could go back and get it all. Well I come home and I must have thrown out the coupon!! I am so mad...it could have saved me a good $15. Live and learn...always save coupons until they are expired!! Here is the dress I am going to pick up tomorrow...

I am worried about my pup Mack...see when we go out (leave the house for more then 30 min) we put Chloe and Tucker into their respective crates and then put Mack downstairs with them. We put up a gate to keep him down there. Well the past 2 days he has knocked down the gate (very unlike him) and came upstairs. It is no big deal if he is upstairs, we had just kept him down stairs so that the other 2 wouldn't go crazy if they heard him barking upstairs. The other 2 can't be out because they eat garbage and take things off of the counter. Anyways...I made the gate so he couldn't get out tonight when I ran to the store to get the dress...and I came home and Mack was standing in a puddle of drool panting like crazy. He seemed so stressed. I don't know, but something must have had happened when he was down there that scared him and now he doesn't like it down there. So I think we are going to leave him upstairs for a week or so and hopefully he will get over it. I felt so bad for him, now he is laying on the floor sleeping since he exhausted himself so much. Poor baby.

Ok, so I didn't post last night because we went to the Orioles/Yankees game. The social club that I work for refereeing had a social night out. Where you got tickets, a sandwich and free beer from 5-7 before the game, so Jimmy and I, my cousin and her boyfriend and 5 of our friends all went. It was a lot of fun. The game was great, but ended in a rain out and will be finished in July. But all in all a great nite. Not such a good food night...but I didn't have any beer, so there were no wasted calories there. A little better of a day...

Today went a little better, I talked to my boss about what frustrated me today. He said he'd get an answer for me and get back to me. Then I got confronted by his boss, and it was just plain weird. Nothing was really made better about it, not yet anyway.

I did really good with food during the day today, then on my way home from my softball game, I got a call from Jimmy saying we were getting chinese food for dinner. I agreed, so I can't complain much, but then it wasn't even good either. Oh well, live and learn.

A long and tad bit frustrating day...

Well today is over, and to be honest I am glad. I am getting a little frustrated with work and promises that people make and don't follow through on. I am frankly a little tired with doing all of the house work. And I was incredibly frustrated to come home and find my pups in a panic because some idiot was setting off fireworks right behind our house and scared the pups really bad. Then I had to walk them...they freaked about every few min because of the fireworks sounds. Not fun. I think I have had enough of today and need to shower and get to bed and start anew tomorrow.

Good Day...

Today was a good day in the eating department...and all in all a good day.

Today I weighed in at 190.6 down 1.6lbs! Not too shabby. Not as big a loss as last week, but I wasn't expecting that. A loss was all I was looking for.

As for yesterday's menu...it was the day that I took my cousin to the really good Italian place in town as congratulations for finishing her first year teaching 5th grade. So...I only had some frosted mini wheats with skim milk in the morning before my 5k race and then I had a Lean Pocket in the mid afternoon and a skinny cow. That is all I had before dinner, because dinner is so good there and you HAVE to get the crab pretzel as an appetizer, which is amazing with HUGE pieces of lump crab meat on top...after some of that some salad, a bread stick, I only ate about 4 bites of my chicken oscar dinner...chicken with crab meat and brought the rest home for Jimmy, which he enjoyed today. So I only ate 12 points before I went to dinner and since I had earned 5 AP's from my 5K, I had 17 points to eat for dinner +1 Flex point left...but I think that I still ate over the 18 for dinner, but who knows exactly. All I know is that I enjoyed every bit of it :) But one day going over points in 2 weeks isn't going to kill me...though I might have had a bigger loss today. But today and for the rest of this week I am totally back in the groove.

I made another big pot of my crab vegetable soup yesterday I did a double batch and gave half to my dad to take home when they stopped by, so I have that to eat all this week for lunch, so that will help a lot.

The 5K went great...30:09...I was going for under 30, but I didn't make it this time. Maybe next time. The race was great though, because it was only women, and everyone was so supportive and was cheering everyone else on. It was great to see and be a part of that. Jimmy worked at the bar the night before and didn't get home until 530am and still got up and came to watch me run. He is such a sweetheart and supportive husband. He even went to the store during the race and bought me flowers! :) He's too sweet.

Well I need to go and get to bed soon...Class is in session at work until Wednesday. Oh! And today we have had the request come in to have our 3 day course in Germany!! How much would that ROCK! So hopefully sometime in late August I will get to go to Germany...and hopefully Jimmy can come too :)

Take Your Dog to Work Day

Today was take your dog to work day and it went great!! I was a little worried that Mack would bark at people walking by our office or go nuts with the other dogs there. But he was so incredibly well behaved that even I had a hard time believing it!! I am so happy that it went well because that definitely allows the opportunity to bring him or one of the other doggies next year. Everyone in the office loved him too. Even one of my co-workers who was skeptical about me bringing him, kept saying he was cool dog and so well behaved :)

So far today has been great. I got to see Jimmy a little bit before he left to go and work at the bar tonight, so that was great. Right now my turkey loaf is in the oven and I am waiting for my cousin to get here to eat dinner and then we are off to get a pedicure. I can't wait. My feet need it so bad, all of the softball playing and walking around in my bare feet in Belize really did a number on them.

Last night I was munchy and had a WW ice cream bar after I did my post, so I took 2 more pts off of my flex and now have 23 flex remaining.

Tomorrow is Friday...

Yeah! Tomorrow is Friday!! I can't wait...not only is it Friday, it is take your dog to work day--and I did get permission to bring Mack to work with me. And it is also, Carrie doesn't have anything to do after work day except going to go and get a pedicure and sit on my but and watch Grey's Anatomy DVDs :) It will be great and well worth it!

Today was good. Tonight when I was umping softball a really good friend of mine from college was playing on one of the teams. It was so great to see him and catch up. He looked great and actually just joined the Navy and is going to officers school next week. I am so happy for him. But now that I found out that he is living in town here...I wish he wasn't leaving and we could hang out. But hopefully now we will stay in touch better and I can see him when he comes home.

Ok...here is my menu...then I need to get to bed! I want to get to work early with Mack tomorrow so that he can get the lay of the building and then relax and not wander.

Today flew by...I had a meeting at work, then training, then I left around 3:15 to come home and take care of the pups so that they'd be all set for when I had to go to Ump Softball tonight. Jimmy is at the bar again tonight -- working there for the 2nd out of 5 days this week. We figure, he should take the shifts while they are being offered since it is such great money. Though I do miss him incredibly when I am here and he is not, especially when I go to bed with just the doggies. But he is doing this for us and whatever our future together brings. Since we both say that not too far down the road we won't be working at the bar and reffing anymore, we'll be staying home with a baby...we hope :) so we are doing it while we can...

Tomorrow is going to fly by as well...I am going to up and to work early because I have to leave there at 11 to get to the Dr's by 1130 and then home to take care of the doggies, then back to work for a few hours. Then I have another softball game (playing this time though :)) Then back home again...it never ends.

Speaking of softball we had a make-up game last night and we won, we are still undefeated. We won the league last year, but the team that challenged us is no longer playing, so right now we are just crushing everyone, which isn't all that fun. Oh, and I got kicked in the game last night. My friend Shannon and I were switching playing 2nd and catching every other inning and one of the innings I am catching, there is a play at home, no biggie...but the guy tagged up on 3rd after the ball was caught in left field and saw that a 'girl' was playing catcher...and decided to leisurely run to home...well little did he know that this 'girl' can catch and throw and was determined to kick his ass and show him who was boss...that was what he was getting for underestimating my ability...I HATE THAT! So Mark throws the ball in to me from left field...let me rephrase that...he FIRED the ball in to me at home (it would have seriously broken some bones had I not had a glove...he has an arm like that pitcher in Major League the movie!) anyway...I catch it of course and then the guy looks up shocked! Like "what?!" and I just shoot him this look and he goes to turn around and run back to third and he slips! Ha! So I didn't even have to show him that I would have chased his big butt down and tagged him out...but all I had to do was bend down towards the ground where he lay and tag him :) it was sweet. But in the end when he fell his foot went out from under him and he got me right in knee with a cleat and then above my knee in the muscle with the other part of his foot. No blood. And with the adrenaline last night, there was no pain either...but getting up and trying to walk this morning...woah! Just since I got hit in the muscle it bruised the muscle and it was like a knot. It has gotten a lot better as the day goes on since I have been using it all day. I hope tomorrow isn't as bad.

The Weekend

It is finally back to being hot, so I am loving this weekend!

Yesterday (Saturday) I went to watch Jimmy play in an all day soccer tournament in Washington, DC. I did leave for a little while to attend my work summer cookout at one of my co-workers in Annapolis. That was fun, I wish I could have stayed longer and Jimmy could have come with me. They had a live band, a swimming pool, tons of yummy food and great company and AWESOME weather.

I did ok yesterday, I ate most of my flex points at the cookout, but that was what I was planning to do anyway, so I think I did great! :) One thing that I will do better is pack more things (point friendly) for things like when I was at the soccer tournament. I ate most of my points there on crap like granola bars (not point friendly ones), etc, because I was starving!

Today I only have 2.5 flex points remaining, but I am going to get some activity in today, like taking the dogs to the park, washing and cleaning out both cars and doing some gardening. So the AP's will definitely help, though I might not need them. I have planned out my day pretty well. I got up a little late, slept in with Jimmy, since he worked at the bar last night after his soccer tourney, he was beat to say the least (he's still sleeping :)) so that helped, I got up and had some breakfast, not my usual english muffin, because we were out. Gripe - why can't they sell them in packs of 7?!? so I can have one for each day of the week!! But I did do a quick run to the store after buying my dad's Father's Day present and got english muffins, so I can have that as a low point lunch with some watermelon.

Tonight we have a fathers day cookout at my brothers house. I have bought turkey hot dogs for me to have and lite hot dog rolls and I was in charge of bringing the salad. So I should be great for tonight...all depending on dessert :) Nah, I will make sure I will have enough for at least a small bite.

**Oh yea...the Movie was HYSTERICAL!!! We both laughed out loud almost the entire time! I'd definitely recommend it! I did have some snacks at the movie though...that is why my Flex Points are lower. I did count for everything, here is what I had: I shared a light Orange Creme Frappicino with Jimmy (thanks to my Hungry Girl email that let me know that they had these new wonderful low point drinks at Starbucks! 3pts for a large and since we shared it only 1.5pts --with no whip cream of course, but it was delish!!) I also had a small Charleston Chew which was 1.5 points as well. I counted 4 pts for all of my movie snacks just to be on the safe side!!**

FRIDAY :)

Hello All...I am so happy it is the weekend...

Tonight's post is going to be quick because Jimmy and I are going to go out
soon to see "Knocked Up". I can't wait to see it I heard it is hysterical. I will
let you all know what I think tomorrow.

Today was good, a long day at work but other then that not bad. I wasn't
planning on going over by 5 points but I still have plenty of flex points
left for the weekend, though I don't plan on going overboard or anything.
Today could have been a lot worse though...we had our annual ethics
training at work today and they had tons of pizza, chips and cookies! I
didn't know about this ahead of time though so I didn't plan working any
of it in, so I didn't have ANYTHING! NSV I guess :)

It's COLD!!!

It's JUNE and it is COLD!! What is going on??!! I wore sweatpants and a sweatshirt to walk the dogs!! I mean this is crazy...where is my warm weather!? ok, enough of that, I guess I will just have to wait on the heat to come back. I should probably be saying my prayers since I have to wear a full suit to work tomorrow and I'd be miserable if it were really hot, but 60 is not fun.

Ok, I don't really have much to say today, I am beat. I worked 2 softball games tonight and didn't get to leave work for lunch, so the day seemed really long. And Jimmy got to go to the Orioles game tonight, so he isn't home and might not come home, depending on if they go out after the game. Since he has to open the gym at 6am tomorrow he might just spend the night at his friends house in the city and then just go to work in the morning. So it's just me and the pups and I am ready for bed.

Doggie and the Bunny

Good News!! Chloe is feeling better! Don't know what it is...but she spent the whole night gated in the bathroom just in case. Besides one throwing up episode early this morning...she ate food and drank water and did not get sick all day and she seems back to herself!! So we are both so happy, we were very worried about her.

Now the bunny part...Jimmy and I went to walk the dogs last night, me with Mack and Tuck and he took Chloe since she wasn't moving so fast. So I am walking ahead with the two and they see something in the front yard we are walking past. I look over and it is a big fuzzy lop eared bunny, so cute! So I pull the dogs away and the bunny hops over to Mack and Mack sniffs it and that is all he did, I was surprised, but I think he was just about as shocked as I was that the bunny came to him and didn't hop away like the wild ones do. Tucker just wanted to play with it! So I get the dogs to continue down the block and I look back and the bunny is following us down the sidewalk! I get the dogs to the other side of the street and we run back home.

So I meet Jimmy at the house as he is getting ready to put Chloe back in and run off to his soccer game and I had him drive me back over to where the bunny was. I brought a towel with me so in case he had nails when I picked him up I wouldn't get scratched. So we found him and he let me pick him up and he was so cute and friendly!! I wanted to take him home with me. So Jimmy and I go knocking on doors at 10pm. Luckily the first door we knock on knows who the bunny belongs to, his neighbor. He said they always bring the bunny outside and they must have forgotten him :( that he was an old bunny and doesn't move too fast. So we found a cage in their back yard and put him in it by the front door so they would find him when they came home. So I went to bed last night knowing I helped mr. bunny. :)

Day Two...on track...off work...

Yep, woke up this morning around 4am to a puking pup....a puking pup that puked every 15 min or so...so I called out of work. I had TONS of stuff to do around the house since we got back from our trip. But when I texted my boss to tell him I was staying home, I played the "if you have any work for me to do from here then let me know" routine, so hopefully I won't get too harassed when I get back to work tomorrow :)

So here is my menu for today...I have also decided that I am weighing myself every day, I know there will be ups and downs, but at least I will know where I stand and if there is an up, I will be more likely to be more strict that day...and I liked what I saw today!! I am only going to post my weigh-ins though once a week...so not until next Monday.

**Oh, last night I made a modified WW 0pt Veggie Soup, I made it following the recipe, but added corn instead of green beans and added crab meat! I am counting 1.5 pts per serving to cover the crab meat and corn.

I'm Back...

I am back from Belize, have been for a little less then a week now, but many things have kept me away from blogging...such as, getting life back to normal after one of the best vacations of my life, my husbands birthday (or birthday weekend as he says :)), my boss passing away, my in-laws coming over, etc., etc., etc., I could go on and on...

The trip was amazing and I have some pictures to post, but will need more time then I have right now, so that will have to wait. I have more important things to blog about.

I am re-committing for the last time. I am fully back on Weight Watchers, counting points and I am going to follow in Jeannie's footsteps at Points and Pounds and post my menu every day, no matter how bad it is.

So day one...week one...goal...to get to 175...I am embarrassed to say I am back up over what I started at way back when and am starting at 194.6 so I need to lose 10% of my body weight which will put me at 175.

Many things are contributing to this...one, my husband now officially weighs less then I do, that kills me. He has lost over 50 lbs and I am incredibly proud of him, but it is killing me that I can't lose anything, all I would be so happy with just 15 lbs...and I can't even do that! So I am on a mission. Weight Watchers Hard Core. I have to do this for me and only for me. I need to stick with points every day, week days the most, since with work being so crazy and with me working 2 jobs and playing softball, I do not have time to get to the gym unless it rains during the week, so counting points is crucial.
