Jeannie over at Points and Pounds is such an awesome blog buddy!! Today I come home from work and find a box sitting at the front door. So I pick up the box thinking it is one of the things that I bought Jimmy for Christmas, so I take it inside without a second thought. I go ahead and make dinner and wait for Jimmy to leave for work so I could open it up and wrap it.
To my very excited surprise, it wasn't something for Jimmy for Christmas...it was a baby gift from Jeannie!!! I was so excited!! Here it is!! It is a little sleep sack and some pacifiers :)

Jeannie Thank You so much for being so thoughtful!!!
The funny thing is...that after I went into the hospital last week and then came home I had a freak out...that what if I had gone into the hospital and came home with the baby...?!?! We have nothing here for a baby yet!! So I told Jimmy we had to go out and buy some necessities to have -just in case- the baby were to come early. So we were planning on going to WalMart and get some diapers, pacifiers, a sleep sack, some shirts, onesies and wipes. So now I can mark 2 of those items off of our list!! Thanks Jeannie!!
So some other...well I hope good news. Please all of you keep your fingers crossed for us. I don't know if I typed about this before, but Jimmy was waiting for his clearance to come back so that he could get a job at my work.
I just looked back and didn't see a post about it...so here is the quick and dirty version so you will get the point.
1. Jimmy quit his old job in January because he was promised to start at my work Jan 15...it fell through when they messed up putting his clearance through
2. So he took a full time job at the gym (paying next to nothing, but at least it was something) Then he got some nights at the bar
3. Then his clearance finally came through in SEPTEMBER and he was supposed to start working there Oct 1 --he quit the job at the gym -- then 2 days before he was supposed to start (he had signed an offer letter and everything) they lost the funding for the job -- so he was unemployed...except for the bar
So since all of this happened...and I became pregnant, we were living on just my income and his bar $. We decided that he wouldn't look for a job anymore and he would be a stay-at-home Dad. He loved that idea (I mean who wouldn't!!) and he would be amazing at it. We would still have the same income, because he could still work at the bar and stay home. So we were set. We had a plan and it was all coming together...as I like to say "everything happens for a reason"
Well then we come to this week. The job he was supposed to get that they lost the funding for...was full time...well now they re-released the funding for that job, as part time. So they called Jimmy up to see if he wanted to work the job part time. He told them he was planning on staying home with the baby. We thought, well that's that. Then he gets a call last night saying, they still want him. He can work part time as much as possible until the baby comes, then as little as 5 hours a week after the baby is here if he wants to keep his clearance active etc. Of course he could work more then 5 hours if he wanted. So he could keep the bar gig and go in late or leave early as he needs until the baby comes and then after the baby is here, he can do all or none. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!! So he told them he would as long as they are willing to work with him and they told him that they would. So now we are just waiting for a final go and a start date...I won't believe it until he is actually there working after all of this...but this would be SO GREAT!! So please keep your fingers crossed for us!! I will keep you all posted!
Ok...off to clean some and watch some TV.
Adios :)
