Ok, so I have come to see this baby weight hitting me in places I am not too fond of. Like my face, arms...etc. So here is the reason for this...well besides having the baby.
I have not been to the gym or worked out (other then taking daily walks) since ummm...lets say August!
Our gym, the one that Jimmy used to work at and run, is in Baltimore City. It is a little out of my way but on my way home from work. But by the end of the work day, I am so beat, there is no way I can go there and get in a decent workout so I haven't been. I have been paying for it though, which is even more frustrating.
So I have made a move. Jimmy went in and cancelled my gym membership downtown yesterday. There is a gym about 5-8 minutes from our house which is only $4 more in price, has a pool, has awesome fitness classes, and childcare! So I can come home from work, eat, relax and go there later in the night and it not take 2-3 hours to get there workout and come home. I can leave go work out before work if I want to (they open at 4:30 where my other gym opened at 6) and then come home and shower, or shower there and they have a pool. Which is very exciting for me, because I love to swim and this far in pregnancy it is probably the best workout for me. If only I had a swimsuit that fit!
I am going to the gym on Monday to sign up. I was hoping to go today or tomorrow, but the guy I have been coordinating everything with over email (he is cutting me a deal on the initiation fees etc.) doesn't work until Monday. So since he has helped me so much I am waiting to go and sign up when he is working so he gets the commission off of me signing up.
So my longing and missing of the gym is about to end and I am very excited about it. I can't wait to get back into it in full force after the baby gets here. Though I know it will be a few weeks. However, until then, I will just love to get out (instead of the freezing cold outside) and do some work on the elliptical or walking on the treadmill at an incline, or swimming and then feel good.
I know it seems it is a little late to start back up with the working out, but I have been feeling very lazy and can't wait to have some me time, not sitting home watching tv, or cleaning, but out doing something that is both good for me and the baby.
Here is to a few good weeks of working out before the baby comes!
Adios :)

I completely understand the gaining weight all over - it sucks. You have already read my blog complaining about it. The elyptical trainer sounds excellent. I did manage 10 minutes of slow walking on the treadmill the other day without it bothering my back. I might start doing that at lunch time. Working out is so hard right now I cannot wait to start working out again and to lose this weight after the baby is born.
Congrats on getting a gym pass again. Very exciting. The pool will be great for you!
I also have felt very lazy lately and have promised that in the new year I will at least go for more walks! I feel so much better after and it does make me sleep better, I just have to find my motivation!! ;)
I think swimming would be the best activity, now and after baby is born! I can't wait to take my little one for a swim!
As for names .... we've thought of a few girl names but haven't thought of any boy names yet!? We haven't really been thinking about it too much yet but I guess we should start soon?
Congrats on getting back to the gym! I don't think it's a little late at all!!! So impressed to think that at 31 weeks pregnant you're going to hit the gym. You might be my hero :)
