MIA & Happy 4th!

Ok all...I know I have been MIA after consecutive posts...sorry about that, but I have been a busy girl. Not keeping track of my points but not eating my face off either. So that is good...but bad, because I know I should be counting.

So remember that not so good stuff that was going on at work that I complained about last week...well, it turned out going the way I had planned and I got a promotion yesterday!! Yep! and a 8% raise!! I was told promotions in our company usually consist of a 5% raise, but since they "were a little behind" and well as I figure it...since it took me complaining to get them to move when they should have done it themselves...they decided to give me an 8% raise instead!! WooHoo! and this is great, because it is out of cycle, so I can still have the possibility of a little bump in pay when annual reviews roll around in December :) Sweet.

Hmm, what else. My friend Lisa and I went and got our pedicures for the wedding this weekend and went out for lunch and shopping today which is always great. Not that I really needed to do any shopping...but still :)

Last night I took our littlest pup Tucker to work where I ump softball at night and he was amazing!! He was an angel! I don't know where he came from because he is the hellion with the other dogs, but when he is alone, he is super well behaved and trained...it is like night and day. I couldn't believe it. I have always thought that he'd be a wonderful therapy dog, but then I always thought...nah, he is too nutso at home. But I think he'd be great at it if he was alone!! So we might see what we can do about getting him to visit some kids or a hospital...I think that would be great.

Weigh in last Monday was good...no change. I always consider that good :)

We leave for Chicago tomorrow morning at 730...which means we have to be up at oh say 430 to get off to the airport in time. Well Jimmy is working at the bar tonight, so it is my job to pack...oh and it is 11pm and I wanted to be in bed already and I haven't even brought the suitcase up from the basement yet!!

So I am going to make this short and sweet. Just wanted to let you all know that I am alive and well, just busy and will be out of the loop until Monday of next week. I will catch up with your blogs and commenting when I return. Sorry for being a slacker this week!!
