Tonight was the night of the never ending spinning class. Yes it was the same spinning class I go to almost every Thursday that is 45 minutes long, but today it seemed like it was never going to end. We did hills, we did sprints, we did hills then more hills...I have never sweat more in my life. I always give Jimmy a hard time, because the rare times that he gets to join me in spin class or any other class, he always finishes up with a pool of sweat under him, tonight that was me. But boy did it feel good. I left there knowing I worked hard and did something good.
I also lifted my upper body today. So all of my workouts got completed and I went to the gym so far 3 out of 4 days this week. Tomorrow I think I am going to run outside, since the gym is on my way home, and I have to go the Dr's on my way home from work, I don't want to drive in Friday traffic back into town, so I think I will run with the doggies or at the park tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be getting warmer so that will be nice.
We ordered a new laptop tonight!! I am so excited, it is another Toshiba. The one we have now is mine from like 4-5 years ago when I was in grad school, it has treated us well. But when I was in San Antonio last week there was a run in with a dog(s) and the laptop, not sure exactly what happens, but the screen only stays up at a certain angle, if not at that angle, it comes slamming down or back. Not good. So that was the last straw...to decide to order a new one.
Tonight I made a diaper cake for a girl at work for whom we are having a baby shower for tomorrow. It turned out really good!! I am going to take some pictures of it tomorrow before I take it into work and I will try and post them this weekend. (I have a lot of picture posting to catch up on!)
One thing I realized in the whole diaper cake making episode is that I have some learning to do before we have a baby...diapers are EXPENSIVE!! Holy smokes. Now I see why my parents used cloth diapers on my brother and I when we were kids.
Tomorrow (Friday April 20) is "Hokie Hope," an alumni-led declaration of a national "Orange and Maroon Effect" day in Support of the Virginia Tech Hokies. (my dad's alma mater) So please wear the colors with pride and support for everyone at VT who was affected by the terrible incident on Monday.
