Today was a very long day, as was yesterday, but I definitely wanted to catch up on my blogging tonight...so here I am.
I have come up with my April Goals for the Make Yourself a Priority in 2007 Challenge. Here they go...
1. I am not going to weigh myself the entire month (well the rest of) April. I have become scale obsessed and it is not good. I weighed myself yesterday and it said I was up 2 lbs!! I was so mad, frustrated and upset. Especially since I have been doing the same thing with BFL the entire time and the first 3 weeks I lost a total of almost 6lbs! It was going so great!! Then Jimmy brought up a good point. He asked me "Go look at your BFL book again...does it say ANYTHING in there about weigh ins??" Well the answer is no...it talks about measurements, BMI, Body Fat percentages, how your clothes fit and before and after pictures, but nothing that I could find about regular weigh ins (I didn't look all that hard...I got his point). Since my clothes fit so much better, I can tell that I look different and my muscles are getting more defined...I have decided that for April, that will be all I get to see...are the changes, the physical changes, not the numbers. And hopefully by the 30th of April, when I get on the scale, it will be well worth the wait!
2. I get to eat french fries and pizza on Sunday (WOOHOO!!), but I have decided that I am going to completely give up soda for the rest of April. I usually drink some to stay awake in meetings etc, since I don't drink coffee, but I need to cut out caffeine. I talked to my Dr. a few weeks back about Jimmy and I wanting to start to try and have a baby sometime in the not so distant future and one of the things she said to do was cut back on caffeine. I am going to still have tea's etc, for those times that I need a boost, but no soda.
3. I am going to keep up with BFL and going to the gym 6 days a week like I did in March.
4. I am going to be very supportive and helpful to my Challenge Team all month long!!
Those are my 4 goals for April. When I have time I am going to post them on my blog sidebar as a daily reminder of what I need to do...and not do :)
I am so pumped about my April group...Michelle, Jeannie, and Robyn. I know Michelle pretty well, Jeannie really well and I don't know Robyn at all so it will be great to get to know her. Lets have a awesome April ladies!!! I have nick named us the A-TEAM :) A for April...or Awesome...whichever way you want to look at it!! GO A-TEAM!!
Today I asked my husband for different lower body leg exercises and boy did he give me some. I don't know if I am going to be able to walk tomorrow morning. So I have opted for the evening spin class instead of the 6am one, in order to at least get some stretching in before hand. Wish me luck.
Then after spin class tomorrow night, it will be the first night all week that I can come home, walk the dogs, make dinner then sit on the couch and relax. I can't wait.
I hope all is going well with everyone...keep up the great work. Hopefully tomorrow night I will get around to visiting everyone's blogs, posting some pictures and catching up on more blogging items. With work being so crazy I haven't gotten any real Internet time in, other then some emails.
A co-worker and I are leaving on Sunday for San Antonio. We are teaching a new iteration of our class there and it is going to be awesome! We have worked so hard at it over the past week and it is coming together!! I can't wait to go to San Antonio, I have never been and I heard it is really neat. We are staying right off of the River Walk, so I hopefully can get in some nice runs there. Plus my hotel has a fitness center and I can go use the Y...so hopefully I can swim some too! I love to swim laps and miss it since we moved to Baltimore and I don't have pool access. Plus I need to start training (I'll explain more about this later!). If anyone been to San Antonio and can recommend anything fun to do (or not to do) please let me know!
I need to get to bed...until tomorrow.
