The Most Wonderful Husband in the World...

Today started off reasonably well, I got up on time, went and got donuts for our students last day of class and then made it to work on time. After I grabbed the donuts I called Jimmy, since he was up (usually he is not awake when I am on my way to work but on Fridays he works the early shift at the gym). In my conversation with him I went through what my plans were for the day, to go to work, finish up with work around 1, go to our 'end of class' lunch, then to the gym. So in telling him this I remembered that I forgot to grab my sneakers from downstairs!!! I had everything else, shorts, t-shirt, sports bra, socks and pants to wear afterwards...but NO SHOES!! How can I go to the gym without my sneakers...So as I am talking to Jimmy he got an earful of all kinds of expletives toward myself about me forgetting my sneakers. I was doing so good this week and needed to get to the gym this one last time for my 4 times a week for the February Challenge
and if I had to go home after lunch, I'd have to take the dogs out, feed them, get my shoes and go back to the gym (which is 15 miles back towards work at rush hour) so needless to say I was pissed...pissed at myself for forgetting and ruining my plans to go to the gym. Poor Jimmy just listened and told me how he was sorry that I forgot them.

So I am at work running around like crazy, because today was final exam and graduation day and there were tests to grade and things to be organized. So when I finally get back to my desk my phone is blinking with a message. I check my messages and there are 2 messages, the first is Jimmy saying "As soon as you get this message call me!! I love you!" Then the 2nd message is "Ignore my first message, I was here in the parking lot to surprise you, but I didn't hear from you so I had to leave. But I left you a note in your car, so when you get this message go out and check in your car and call me. I love you!" So I am getting ready to leave then to go to lunch and when I get to my car, guess what was there...no note...a bag from Dick's Sporting Goods, with a new pair of sneakers!!! HE WENT AND BOUGHT ME SNEAKERS SO I COULD STILL GO TO THE GYM!!! How wonderful is he!! He is so incredibly sweet to me and would do anything for me as I would for him. I love him so much and am so lucky to have him in my life forever.

Ok enough of the mushy stuff. I drank my water today, did my sit ups at the gym, and did a 45 minute workout on the treadmill. Tomorrow is the test...I am really afraid that it is not going to go well. But I am going to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

On a side note, I got this yummy recipe for a Citrus Cheesecake made with ff cream cheese, wheat flour, etc. from Spark People and it is cooking right now, hopefully it will be all ready and set for Jimmy tomorrow :) He is out with his friend from VA now, so he doesn't know I made it for him...it was the least I could do.

Geez, THAT would never happen in our house because my husband, I'm sure, has absolutely NO CLUE as to what size shoe I wear.
